Presentation of the Chemistry department
The Chemistry and biotechnology group of BREVALEX is a team of 7 professionals highly experienced in drafting, and prosecuting patent applications. The group members hold either a PhD or an advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology , Biochemistry and have a long term scientific background.
The group members are highly proficient with respect to European and French patent protection and litigation. All the group members are French Patent Attorneys and six of them are European Patent Attorneys.
The group is specialized in all fields of Chemistry in particular organic and polymer chemistry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, prosthesis, inorganic chemistry, water treatment, waste treatment, surface treatment, nuclear chemistry, inks, supercritical fluids, retreatment of nuclear fuel, radioactive decontamination, and sol-gel technology. Etc…
The group is also active in biotechnology and biochemistry including diagnostics, immunology, virology, and genetic engineering. Another technological field covered by the Group is material science, including e.g. making, shaping and treating of metals, ceramics, glasses, brazing alloys, materials for fuel cells such as SOFCs and batteries such as lithium-ion batteries.; and the associated processes such as PVD, CVD, Nanoimprint, powder metallurgy etc…
The group also treats patent applications for nanotechnologies inventions including nanoparticles and nanoreactors.
The group is working with renowned research facilities and high-level public and private research centers and is therefore up to date with recent developments in all the above technical fields.
We work with French, US, and Japanese clients ranging from start ups, to big multinational companies.
Moreover, the group members regularly attend and contribute to specialist meetings and conferences in order to keep up with the latest developments in their technical fields and in the field of intellectual property of chemical and Biotech inventions, and with the French and European (EC and EPO) case law.
